KinCorps is a team devoted to raising the next generation of caring, connected citizens. We are professionals grounded in positive youth development, trained to work with kids and families, with decades of experience between us. Our roots are in Maine. Our experiences across the world are what taught us to love difference.
Our Team
Sarah Fanslau, CEO & Founder

Sarah has spent more than 15 years leading impact, evaluation, and youth development work at some of the country's most respected civic organizations — Points of Light, Multiplying Good, and the Creative Visions Foundation. She brings both deep experience inside the field and a researcher's understanding of what actually works.
Sarah has advanced degrees from Claremont Graduate University and the London School of Economics. She has published manuscripts on community cohesion and youth leadership. Sarah currently serves as the Director of Impact and Evaluation at Creative Visions. She formally served as the VP at Points of Light and Multiplying Good.
Mary McMillan, Program Manager

A Maine native who loves everything the state has to offer. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, she's passionate about helping others in her community. When she's not working, you'll find her soaking up the outdoors, hitting the beach with her husband, Cam, and their black lab, Dewey, getting lost in a good book, flowing through a yoga practice, exploring new destinations, or trying out the latest restaurants.
Molly Platz, Comms Manager

Molly began her social work career in 2014, earning her MSSW from The University of Texas at Austin. Over the past decade, she has brought marketing and design skills from her earlier career into her social work roles, leading strategic communications efforts. She specializes in translating complex information into engaging, accessible material — an approach grounded in nearly ten years managing research and programming in academic and nonprofit settings. Now back home in Maine, she's focused on supporting Maine communities through meaningful engagement and messaging that drives positive change.

WHY WE STARTED
A message from Sarah Fanslau, Founder & CEO
I went looking for a way to get my own kids out of their silos and into our community, and I kept coming up empty.
What I found instead, as someone who has spent a career in this work, was a civic pipeline that's broken at the bottom. We've built plenty of experiences for kids of every kind — but almost nothing that helps them connect to, and care for, people outside their own bubble.
And almost everything starts in middle or high school, which is already too late. So many of us are worried about where this country is headed. Almost no one is doing anything about it with kids while they're young.
That's the gap I started KinCorps to fill.
